As the only institution of tertiary education in the canton of Thurgau, the PHTG endeavours to be open to innovation and networks regionally, nationally and internationally, while at the same time not losing sight of its immediate responsibilities in the canton of Thurgau.

Cooperation and networking across borders

Four of the six degree programmes at the PHTG are based on a unique cross border cooperation with the prestigious University of Constance, a short distance away in Germany. This means that PHTG students can benefit from an exceptional range of study courses in the attractive Euroregion of Lake Constance.

Wide opportunities but short distances: the Campus of the PHTG

The buildings of the PHTG are eye-catching even from a distance – modern design-oriented concrete architecture with wide glass fronts which allow the green outdoors to fuse with the indoor areas.

Buildings that fire the imagination, to the extent that in 2010 the PHTG even served as the setting for an episode of the TV crime series ‘Tatort’, however not as a university but as a beauty clinic for the well-to-do! Wide opportunities but short distances: this is the Campus of the PHTG in Kreuzlingen.

The PHTG, the A-Level College of Pedagogical Studies (Pädagogische Maturitätsschule or PMS) and the High School Kreuzlingen (Kantonsschule Kreuzlingen)  – together known as the Campus Kreuzlingen – work closely together.  This close cooperation among different schools is reflected in a relaxed and friendly atmosphere, which is can also be felt in the relationships between students and staff. The sports amenities, libraries and canteen are just a few minutes’ walk away.
